BIOGRAPHY

Philippe Mathis first worked as pianist in  Paris and for a famous agency in Geneva. During ten years, he used to play mainly jazz and international music in Europe, Monaco and Asia.

Even after he left the music business, he always enjoyed writing his compositions. One of his goal is not only to write music for piano but the also music that the pianist would enjoy performing.

The various awards and distinctions received by Philippe Mathis underline his recognition in the field of musical composition. His works have won prizes at various international competitions and festivals, contributing to his artistic achievements.

In particular, he was awarded « The Contemporary Piano 2018″ prize at the Athens International Music Composition Competition, the Diploma of Merit at the 28th International Music Composition Competition.Città di Barletta » International Composition Competition in Italy, and first prize at the Golden Key Music Festival in Vienna in 2015.

Philippe Mathis has also been selected as laureate and composer for several production and recording projects, including STAGE & SCREEN. Vol. 1 and Vol. 2, produced and distributed by ABLAZE Records and several albums produced and published by RMN Classical and distributed worldwide.

He has also been a finalist and semi-finalist in several international composition competitions, including the Maurice Ravel International Composition Competition in Bergamo, Italy, and the UK Songwriting Contest.
Taken together, these awards and honors attest to his contribution to the musical community.
